"Lovely little cottage in a very peaceful setting. Had all the amenities you require and a lovely wood burning fire. There is no WiFi in the cottage but after the owner told us how much it would cost I can totally understand that and anyway you go there to relax. You occasionally could get one bar on the phone. When we arrived the receptionist was very helpful and gave us a run down of the facilities and what to do if we required further assistance. There was afternoon tea of scones, jam and cream in the fridge and also a breakfast hamper with a choice of continental or cooked breakfast. Montville was literally less than 5 minutes drive away if you needed anything. Would recommend for a long weekend away."

"Amazing Romantic place …..We originally visited Hunchy back in 2003 , and returned for another great experience. It’s all the finer details that tick all the boxes - fluffy robes, stocked fire place , scones with jam & cream , rose by the softest bed, chocolates & breakfast items ready to go ( & the list goes on). Sitting in the hot spa listening to the rain in the forest outside all afternoon was so therapeutic & we didn’t want to leave. Thanks again Hunchy you met all expectations & more once again , we won’t be leaving it so long to return next time."

"Let me start off by saying how lovely Jess is, when I arrived I was greeted by a lovely welcoming smile and a little tour of the place. She couldn’t have been any nicer. I was a lone traveller coming here and while it’s aimed for for couples to unwind, I had a beautiful time by myself.

Once I got brought my bags in and had a look around the room I was amazed at the little finishing touches that they did. Truly incredible hospitality. The complimentary breakfast was amazing!! Eggs, bacon and toast everyday babyyy ?? yummo!! Like name somewhere else that provides groceries?! I doubt you’d find one. Oh and fresh scones on your arrival!! Um hello YUM!!

One thing to note is that the Phone reception is non existent, so pack some dvds or books if you plan to stay in for any length of time.. Or do it the old fashion way and talk to your significant other! It’s so lovely and quiet with just the sound of trees moving and the creek flowing in the background.

There is free wifi outside of the reception and you can get phone data in the car park… So if you desperately need to contact the outside world there are options. It was extremely clean and well kept, the facilities were fantastic, staff were lovely and the location is perfect, far enough away yet it’s extremely close to the Montville main strip where all the shops are located.

While it was a little pricey as a single traveller, I thought f*ck it, I’ll see how it is and oh boy it was the best time away I’ve had in a while. I cannot wait to go back.. Hopefully with a partner next time! I cannot recommend these guys enough, it’s the perfect couples retreat. I felt extremely welcomed which was very humbling."
